Dr. Shweta Kawalkar is a Consultant Microbiologist with over six years of experience in clinical microbiology, laboratory medicine, and infection prevention. She is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic laboratory services that support accurate clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes.

Her work focuses on laboratory diagnosis, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, quality management, and contemporary microbiological practices. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kawalkar actively contributes to academic and training activities for healthcare professionals. She has participated in numerous national conferences and continuing medical education (CME) programmes related to microbiology, hospital infection control, and infectious diseases. She has also undertaken research in the early diagnosis of leptospirosis using molecular diagnostic techniques.
