Dr. RAHUL SAXENA

A pioneer in liver transplantation in Central India, Dr. Rahul Saxena established the region’s first comprehensive liver transplant programme at New Era Hospital, where he led landmark procedures including the first cadaveric donor liver transplant, living donor liver transplant, and combined liver-kidney transplant. With over 22 years of surgical experience, he is widely recognised for his expertise in liver transplantation and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery.

His practice encompasses living and deceased donor liver transplantation, paediatric liver transplantation, transplant oncology, pancreatic surgery, biliary surgery, and complex liver resections. In addition to his surgical achievements, Dr. Saxena plays an active role in national and international transplant societies, medical education, research, and organ donation initiatives, contributing to the continued advancement of transplant surgery in India.
